Harrow Hill is situated in the Karkloof Hills close to waterfalls, Midmar Dam, nature reserves, Midlands Meander, Canopy Tours, golf and good restaurants. We are also next to 3 Amber Retirement Villages and we welcome many guests and families of those in the villages.
I now run a small herd of Friesland heifers just for fun on my 50 acre farm - an old settler site.
All in all it's very quiet and tranquil, the quietness always surprises people from Joburg. It is very colonial with old english antique furniture, lots of silver on the breakfast table - it confuses people with toast racks, sugar sifters and bowls of salt! Often have had salt in the coffee and sugar on the bacon.
We have a large lovely spring and summer garden full of azaleas, clivias, day lillies inca lillies and then later hydrangeas and cannas at the bottom of the garden. Guests love seeing the cows poking their heads through to eat the flowers.
